The Republican State Committee consists of seventy-two (72) members who are enrolled Republican electors in the senatorial district they represent. Two (2) persons are to be elected from each state senatorial district as provided by Connecticut’s Republican State Committee By-Laws. Each member of the Republican State Committee will have voting power based on the actual number of enrolled Republicans in the senatorial district that each member represents.
Election of Republican State Committee members is conducted at a meeting of the town committee in each town, held each odd-numbered year. The town committee members residing in each of the senatorial districts, will select delegates (state committee members) to a state committee district convention. The convention will be held on the second Tuesday in May of the same (odd-numbered) year.
